You can not teach an old dog new tricks, but when the dog knows the trick in 1960, there is a good shot of it can still do it. Alan Moore to throw back jersey college football this weekend and hitting the field for the first time since the draft in Vietnam.

Moore, 61, played football for Holmes Community College in the last 60 years. Its glory days came to an end in 1969 when he decided to join the army. Now, more than four decades later, the opportunity to finish his college football career by kicking at Faulkner University.

Moore told Reuters:

Moore was completed in 2009 and decided to start training to play football again. Moore says he wants to inspire young people to never give up.

Moore said:

61 years, must work 12 hours this semester and live in dormitories his other classmates and teammates at Faulkner University, Alabama.

Moore says he chose Faulkner because he treated us like family, even if it means that he is a grandfather.

Moore told the New York Daily News:
